The ADA requires businesses and governments to make their goods, services, and/or facilities accessible to clients, customers and employees with disabilities. The Steering Committee seeks to make this a reality in Michigan.

About the Americans with Disabilities Act

The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law on July 26, 1990. ADA gives civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those provided to individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age and religion.
